What we collect

When you submit a service request, we collect:

• Any notes you choose to add in the optional “Anything else we should know?” box. Don’t include payment details or other sensitive information.
• Your property’s ZIP or town.
• Your name, phone number, and email address.
• The page URL, referrer, and campaign tags, also called UTM tags.
• The exact consent text version and timestamp.
• Your browser’s user agent.
• A one-way salted hash of your IP address for spam checks and rate limiting. The raw IP address is not stored.

If you call our phone line, an automated assistant answers. Our phone service provider receives your phone number and what you say on the call, and the call may be recorded or transcribed to provide and review the service. Please don’t share sensitive personal information on the call. The assistant does not take referral requests.

The contact form collects your name, email address, and message. Please keep your message focused on your question. Do not include sensitive information that is not needed to review your request.

Why we use it

We use your project and contact details to review your request by hand, assess whether a suitable referral is available, and communicate about the request. If you consent, we can share the request with one independent provider for that service.

The page URL, referrer, and campaign tags provide context about where your request came from. The consent record documents the version you accepted and when. The browser user agent and hashed IP support spam checks and rate limiting.

We use contact form information to handle your message. A service request generates one confirmation email. We do not send marketing texts or make automated calls.

Who receives your information

A person reviews each service request. Referral partners are still being confirmed. A provider must agree to receive referrals before a request is shared with them.

Only after you tick the consent box do we share your request with one independent provider for that service. That provider may pay us a referral fee and may contact you by phone or email about your request. You do not have to hire them.

We never sell your details to lead lists. The referral disclosure includes the current consent text and explains the fee arrangement. Electric and internet guides are information only; we do not accept utility requests.

Services that process information

We use these processors to operate the site and handle requests:

• Our hosting provider: serving the site, running spam checks on our forms, and storing requests in its database.
• Our email delivery provider: sending the request email to the site owner and one confirmation email to you.
• Our phone service provider: answering calls to our phone line with an automated assistant, which may include recording or transcribing calls.

These services process information as part of those functions. A referral provider is a separate, independent business. Before sharing more information directly with a provider, ask how that business handles it.

How long we keep information

Service requests are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. You can ask for access or deletion by email before then.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookieless analytics from our hosting provider to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not set cookies or use your browser’s storage, and we don’t use it to identify you. It records things like the page you viewed, the site that linked you here, your browser and device type, your general location by country, and how fast the page loaded.

The site has no advertising cookies and no session recording. Our forms use a spam-check service to tell people from bots.

Security

Spam checks and rate limiting help protect the request forms from abuse. A one-way salted IP hash is used instead of storing the raw IP address. These measures are not a guarantee of security.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit a request. You can also email us to ask for access to your information, request deletion, or opt out of further contact about your request. Use [email protected] or the contact form.

Say which choice you want and identify the request using the email address you submitted. If a provider has already received your request, contact that business about information it holds and any further contact from it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us to request deletion.
